Our firm was founded in August 1991.
What is your primary product or service?
Environmental consulting: Biological, botanical, and wildlife surveys and studies; endangered species evaluation and protocol surveys; wetlands surveys and delineations; environmental planning; impact analysis; mitigation plans; certified arborist surveys and reports; permits for section 404 (US Army Corps of Engineers), 401 (Regional Water Quality Control Board), 1600 (CA Dept of Fish & Wildlife) and various local agencies; formal section 7 consultations with US Fish & Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries; construction compliance monitoring.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
R. John Little, Ph.D., President, is one of the founders of Sycamore Environmental. With advanced degrees in biology and botany, he has over 35 years of environmental consulting experience throughout CA. He has managed projects ranging from small to multimillion dollar projects, preparing biological resources evaluations, permitting, and compliance.
Jeffery Little, Vice President. With over 21 years as an environmental consultant, he serves as project manager during all phases of environmental development. He evaluates environmental and regulatory constraints to assist his clients determine realistic schedules of permits and entitlements. He develops project design recommendations to achieve regulatory compliance. Jeff Little manages transportation projects in 13 counties as well as private client projects.
Cynthia Little, Secretary/ Treasurer manages the accounting department, and is responsible for human resources, client contracts, insurance, and office administration.
