The Commission's purpose is to promote harmony among the various groups, which make up the Sacramento community. This is accomplished through education and outreach, and utilization of the following program areas:
*Investigation and mediation, or litigation of complaints of housing discrimination.
*Fair Housing testing.
*Training in the areas of fair housing practices, sexual harassment, ADA, and employment discrimination.
*Tenant/Landlord Information Hotline.
*Investigation of habitability complaints in the City of Sacramento.
*Mediation of complaints of employment and public accommodations Investigation and monitoring of hate crimes.

*Small Claims Mediation Program
*Unlawful Detainer Advisory Clinic
*Unlawful Detainer Mediation Program
Services offered through the Commission are not limited to renters but also are also available for Landlords.
